Match funding - Monivea Woods Mass Path resurface

This fundraiser has been set up to raise match funding for the resurfacing of the Mass path in Monivea Woods.

Monivea Community Council has been successful in obtaining a significant grant of €27,000 from Galway county council under the outdoor recreation infrastructure scheme.

In conjunction with Coillte, this funding will be shortly used to upgrade the mass path in Monivea Woods to make the woods much more accessible for the whole community and surrounds to enjoy.

Funding allocated to the Monivea group will also be used for the supply and installation of picnic tables, seats and signage.

The remaining trails are to be maintained and improved by Coillte over 3 years subject to the impact of forest operations.
