We are asking for contributions for Missionary Kids Ministries to reach the amount of $5000 to be used as a matching fund scholarship.

Although we have regular, dedicated supporters, at this time we are asking for the GoFund donations to be given by typical non-supporters.

Our longest supporter (for almost 50 years!) has offered us a $5,000 donation, to be placed into a fund to cover the extra needs the ministry has from time to time. Those funds will be given if and only if we find matching funds of $5,000 or more.

This supporter's intent is for us to show that MKM can expand our support base, beyond the few churches and individuals who have given faithfully for decades. Our long-term supporters are the ones we always go to when we have extra needs - so this time we are asking those who do not give to MKM regularly to help us reach this goal.

Since 1984 MKM has served over 2000 college-aged missionary kids. A few hundred more can be added to that for Dale and Sharon Wisner, MKM founders, who began serving as foster/dorm parents in 1964. Their years of service total almost 40 years at MKM and a total of 60 years in ministry for Dale and Sharon.

If you have been touched by this ministry or by Dale and Sharon themselves, we are asking you to consider “Paying It Forward.”

As you might imagine it has become a little harder, after 40 years, for Dale and Sharon to do all the things necessary to keep the non-profit going as well as the upkeep of the house.

These funds will not only be an emergency fund for repairs of the nearly 30 yr. old house but will also be available to hire additional help when needed. Bookkeeping, maintenance on the house, cleaning before retreats, all of these still need to be done. As willing as Dale and Sharon still are to do the work themselves, every year they are needing a little more help to keep MKM going.

NOTE: All donations will go to MKM and are tax deductible, whether or not the goal for matching funds is met.
