Mate Helping Mate Podcast - Community Tour

Donation protected
G'day,
I'm John Harper, just an ordinary farmer at Stockinbingal in the Riverina. I describe myself as a simple, but not stupid Aussie, who tells it like it is and who fundamentally believes that actions speak louder than words. I have been an active mental well-being advocate since 2006 – after I was bit on the bum by the mongrel ‘black dog’.

In 2020, we started the Mate Helping Mate Podcast – a resource for rural communities to hear from like-minded folk about their experiences battling mental health issues, and some positive strategies to get through the shit!

In 2023, we want to take the podcast on the road and visit these communities in person, by running live panel-style discussions to uncover the struggles faced and what's working, and what's not!

We are seeking some seed funding to get this pilot project off the ground so that we can roll out the tour to many more communities and amplify the voices of those not only physically isolated but often mentally, too.

Your donation will go towards setting up the tour and cover costs such as; technical gear and equipment, venue hire, publicity of the event and editing of the pilot podcast.

For major sponsor enquires please contact me for further information. [email redacted]

You can read more and hear the podcast at our website

And thanks for your support mates!
