Help Mateo Thrive Again!

Our strong boy is back! He might not be able to move his hands and legs, sit, or run yet... But he can SMILE, LOVE and try to make the best out of every day by working hard to rehabilitate every muscle in his body.

He has already exceeded all of the doctor's expectations by being able to see, hear, communicate, swallow and feel emotions of sadness, pain, and happiness. We look forward to walking by his side at each step of this journey as he deals with the repercussions of an acquired Severe Hypoxic Brain Injury because of an accidental tear to his bronchial wall.

He is rising from the ashes like a phoenix and like a lotus flower blooming in the harshest of terrains. Mateo's recovery so far has been nothing short of a miracle <3

Now that we are home, we need help. So we are raising funds to hire a helper. This person will help take Mateo to all of his appointments, help load the stroller with his oxygen, vent and emergency equipment, take Mateo for walks, help with feeding and prepping medications, and do simple but important things like holding Mateo and giving him cuddles and attention, while Mom takes zoom calls from one of his many specialists

100% percent of the money fundraised will go towards paying for this helper.

WHY? Because Mateo deserves to get the opportunity to get the care and the therapy that he needs daily, which will give him a chance to thrive against all odds!
