Math Education for Everyone

Hi everyone, my name is Jens Fehlau and for the past 5 years I created educational content on YouTube, mainly focussing on mathematics, physics and recently also on woodworking and self sufficient living. Long story short, as mentioned previously on my YouTube channel Flammable Maths already:

Due to burning out and having a rough time personally, I ran into the first financial struggles of my life. With my daughter being born quite recently, I'm still trying to get everything sorted out and even with the YouTube channel being at an all-time low, I do not have any intention to give up just yet.

Or so I thought. Yesterday my work laptop's battery collapsed, destroying the laptop in the process. And without an editing PC, no videos, meaning no money to feed my family and pay the bills.

I have never been one to ask for much help or beg my YouTube community for money, but I hereby ask if at least a few people, who watched my videos over the years and found joy in them, would be willing to keep the videos coming by providing me with a new laptop, that can handle various tasks at the same time and video editing.

08/04/23 Edit: Unbelievable! Due to an extremely generous donation, we've already reached the main goal of 2500€ and will hence immediately start ordering a new laptop.

I've decided to increase the goal to 3300€ now. The data on my old laptop is Bitlocked and can't be accessed anymore. But if I repair my old laptop, I would be able to manually transfer all the files to the new computer. Replacing the fried internals amounts to roughly 800€, hence the stretch goal.

Update: We immediately reached the stretch goal, I'm at a loss for words. The campaign will still be going on till the end of the month, so feel free to donate if you want to support the channel nonetheless! I'll increase the goal to 5000€ and will invest all the money into the channel's back again and once we reach this goal I'll end the campaign!
