Mathais

We would like to thank Maria Small for organizing this gofundme. We are raising funds for Mathais' final expenses and celebration of life.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that my wife and I had to say goodbye to our son Mathais on 1/9/24. Mathais passed at home surrounded by those he loved and who loved him more than words can ever describe. Mathais was the oldest of 10 and took his role as a big brother very serious. Mathais loved his parents, siblings, grandparents, and friends so deeply. Mathais also had a love for basketball and music. He had a smile that radiated love and could fill any room with light. Mathais suffered a brain injury in January of 2020 and fought so bravely these last four years, his strength was always superhuman. In his 25 years, Mathais taught us about love, forgiveness, preserverance, strength, and faith.

His physical presence will be deeply missed here on earth but we strongly believe that his spirit will live thru all that loved him and he is resting with our heavenly father ready to take on his eternal role.

We ask that you continue to keep our family in your prayers as we navigate through this difficult time. We lost a son, our children lost their brother, his grandparents lost their grandson, and many lost their friend.

We would like to thank everyone who has helped in any and all ways... It is your love and support that gets us through each day. Your prayers are appreciated more then anything else.
