Mathews family home lost in fire
Donation protected
On 7/11/22 the Mathews family, while working an out of state construction job, received a gut wrenching call from their neighbor. Their house was on fire. They loaded up the children and headed towards home as quickly as they could, but along the way were sent pictures that confirmed their worst fears. Their home was gone. By the time they made it there, all that was left was ashes on the ground. Unless you have felt it yourself, you cannot imagine the pain of seeing what used to be the home you built with your own two hands, reduced to rubble. The floors where your children took their first steps, gone. The staircase where all your most precious family photos hung, gone. The family room where you smiled and gathered and made so many memories, gone. Every children's toy, shred of clothing, cooking spoon, Christmas ornament, every belonging and memory gone. To know the Mathews family is to love them. They are strong, hardworking, faithful, and full of love. They are not the kind of people who would ask for help on their own. I have no doubt they will work hard to rebuild their home, their memories, and their lives, but if you can find it in your heart to help them on this long hard road of rebuilding and replacing all that was lost, it would be most appreciated. Our heartfelt gratitude to you all in advance from Melissa Witt Mathews, Michael Jason Mathews, Cooper Mathews, Timber Mathews, Nathaniel Mathews, their new little bundle of joy on the way, and the whole Leo/Linda Witt Family!
