Mathias Hogue's Back Surgery

Hey Everyone! I am writing this asking for help for Mathias's upcoming back surgery. I know Kelly and Kasie are going to be experiencing A LOT of unexpected expenses, so anything you can help with is greatly appreciated. Along with travel expenses, they found out they will have to stay in Salt Lake with Ty for the 2 weeks following surgery. This will be require them to pay for food, housing, etc.

A back story for those of you who were unaware:

2 years ago, Mathias broke his back doing what he loves, wrestling. He was doing physical therapy once a week but has continued to struggle with back pain, and thankfully a sports medicine doctor referred Mathias in for an MRI, and in that MRI they noticed that his lower vertebraes have shifted 25% in less than a year. That Dr. referred the family to a pediatric neurosurgeon in Salt Lake. Recently, we were told that Mathias has what is known as Spondylolisthesis "a spinal disorder in which a bone (vertebrae) slips forward onto the bone below it." Mathias is going to have a spinal fusion on L4 and L5. Spinal fusion stabilizes the spine by permanently joining two vertebraes, eliminating movement between them. Typically, bone grafts are placed between vertebrae to help them fuse together. During the same surgery he will be having 3 discs replaced and having a screw put into L3 and L4. In time, new bone grows over the graft. With that being said, Ty is scheduled to have surgery on February 14th in Salt Lake City. The recovery time for this surgery is 9-12 months just to completely heal. The family was told that they needed to be there from February 12th-28th. Mathias will be in the hospital for 3-5 days, Kelly will be able to stay for the hospital stay. He will have to come back to Helena to take care of the girls and work, but Mathias and his mom will have to stay in Salt Lake.
