Help Matt Gregg battle leukemia - GAME ON!
Donation protected
Matt was diagnosed with leukemia (AML) on December 27, 2019. After two trips to urgent care and then to the emergency room (we thought he had the flu), Matt was admitted to the hospital to immediately begin treatment. The doctors administered induction chemotherapy and closely monitored him for an entire month in the hospital before we were allowed to go home.
Since the doctors are categorizing Matt's leukemia as high risk, we are preparing for a stem-cell transplant. The transplant is Matt's best chance of cure, but it is a nasty, time-intensive treatment. I will be going on leave to take care of Matt throughout the recovery process.
These funds will be used to help with medical and living expenses as I will not have a salary on leave and Matt has a reduced salary. We appreciate any contribution and we recognize this is not the only means of supporting Matt's cause. We have been so grateful already for the outpouring of love from our family and friends, whether it's visiting us in the hospital, delivering a meal, or even sending us funny memes (keep 'em coming!).
This cancer diagnosis has completely derailed the dreams and hopes we had as a family of two. Our #1 goal for right now is plain and simple - Matt's on-going health and cure. Anyone who knows Matt would not be surprised by my saying he is kicking cancer's ass with his strength, humor, and fighting-spirit (and the help of an incredible Care Team). We thank you for joining us in support of his cause in whatever way you are able.
All the love,
Rachel (+Matt)
