Please support the Brockway family

Matt Brockway, a local business owner and beloved father of 4 went into the hospital for signs and symptoms of internal bleeding. It was found he had a hemorrhaging ulcer in the upper intestines, as well as impaired blood flow to the liver and spleen. His body was going into hypovolemic shock and his kidneys were shutting down as well. What we thought was going to be an easy fix, suddenly turned critical. Matt was air lifted from bassett to another hospital that is best suited for the up hill battle he is currently facing. They were able to stabilize Matt and were also able to take him off the ventilator and start 2 rounds dialysis. With some complications along the way he had shown signs of improvement, only for the ulcer to open and bleed again. He is now currently in a more dire situation than before. So, I’m here to ask for support. This is not an easy ask but it would take at least a little off the plate of a family who are dealing with so many difficulties at this time.

This hospital is further away from family that would like to stay by his side during this incredibly difficult time. These donations would go towards Matt’s care, travel expenses, hotels near the hospital for family (as visiting hours are limited), his two minor children (8 and 16y.o) to get them through the school year.

**Update** 10/6/23

Matt received CPR twice during the last week, the last round being at midnight today for four minutes. The team was able to resuscitate him. The internal bleeding has continued and they are planning to scope. This procedure is extremely high risk given Matt’s condition at this time. Please send your prayers to whatever god you believe in, good vibes and all the positivity that you can spare. I’m writing this because I think the people that care about Matt should be updated and again send those prayers. ❤️‍
