Matt & Flick Compete At The World Championships

Update: Unfortunately Flick is no longer able to compete in this years World Championships. The donation goal has been updated to reflect this.

We're Matt and Flick. Head Coach and Assistant Instructor at Oubaitori Karate Club, respectively. We're volunteers and put a lot of time and effort into our club.

Matt has been teaching his classes for 3 years for kids, teens and adults, the classes grew from just once a week to now training four nights a week as well as going out and competing. We are even fortunate enough to work alongside Nene Park, Heritage Fund and Your Community Greenspace creating our Friday classes to help the community.

After claiming World Karate Union English Champion in both Kata and Kumite in September 2023, Matt was invited to represent WKU England in the World Championships in Rhodes, Greece in October 2024. Felicity was selected for the squad after her efforts at WKU competitions in 2024.
