Matt Formanack's End of Life Fund

On May 7th, 2023, Matthew Formanack passed away unexpectedly. For those of us who have been wracked with grief and are trying to comprehend what happened, please know that he was not in any pain, nor was he suffering. Quite the opposite: Matt was living his BEST life and, in his words, "I'm in my SF Daddy Era". He knew he was loved by many and was never, ever alone. Unfortunately, Matt was not able to set up a will or trust to handle his affairs, but he did ask me some time ago to make sure things were taken care of in case he passed unexpectedly. I've been working with a few of his friends (his Colorado Girls) to get his affairs in order, and I have been contacted by dozens upon dozens of his chosen family to find out how they can contribute. This page is to achieve several of Matt's wishes: while his personal assets are in CA Probate court, the money you donate will go to closing out any debt or responsibilities, to set up a fund dedicated to the upkeep of his beloved and treasured garden/backyard that he lovingly nurtured and created, and to provide some funding for all of his numerous chosen nieces and nephews he has adopted as his own (all of who know him as Uncle or Guncle Matt) to go towards their education. This is his legacy: his chosen family, his Happy Place, his life. Thank you all for loving him and helping him know that he made a difference, and that he was not alone.
