Matt Gordy's Family

As many of you know, one of our own Surface Solutions family members was involved in a tragic accident. On June 6th Matthew “Matt” Gordy of Delmar lost his life in a motorcycle accident. He leaves behind his wife Tina and their three boys. Matt was a dedicated husband, father, and all-around great person. He was adored by his friends, admired by his co-workers and a friend to anyone in need.

Matt was a character and the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back. He would always answer his phone no matter the time and his work ethic was second to none. Death is too permanent and extreme when we lose someone so near and dear. We cannot comprehend the true loss, and we feel as if life has lost a little bit of luster. Though we cannot change what has happened, it is at this time that the support and love of the people around us is most important. It is very tough to find the right words for a condolence, but it can prove to be a source of inspiration for the person suffering and hope that they can find some solace in your words.

Matt! I hope you know how bad you will be missed and how this event is going to impact people. You were like family to many, and we loved you like a brother. Rest in peace. Your legacy of care and passion will carry on forever.
