Matt Howell urgently needs our help..

Donation protected

If you’ve lived in Shepherdstown, Wv any over the past 53 years then chances are you know my brother Matt Howell. He was a favorite among his teachers, he was there to greet you at the church door every Sunday morning. At work, he’s been there to help you with your produce selection or maybe helped to carry your groceries to your car. He could always be found helping to take care of our grandparents and then later, our mother as they all found their way across the golden bridge. He has cared for and lived in our family home since the day he was brought home from the hospital as a baby. He’s never spent a night in any other bed than his own. Now he lays in a cold ICU bed at Baltimore Maryland Hospital where a team of specialists are looking for the most effective form of aggressive treatment to dissolve the numerous amount of massive blood clots in his lungs…His heart is suffering the strain.
Matt has been fighting COVID for a month. He has NEVER ONCE in his 53 years ever asked me for one red cent; not one dime!!. Thursday he reached out asking me for help financially until he could get back to work which he hoped was going to be soon. The next morning, he took a nose dive for the worst and was rushed to the hospital where they planned to fly him out but the winds were too bad so they rushed him to Baltimore via ambulance.
I'm reaching out to you today to ask if you could find it in your heart to donate even a dollar. I know the holiday season is upon us and it’s tight right now for a lot of us. With Matt out of work, Tracy has lost over half their monthly income. He was denied temporary unemployment and his term disability thru his employer will take weeks to make a decision on and process (per his employer). They need help keeping up the mortgage on the Butler Family Home, the utilities and the surmounting medical bills are a foreboding thought.
I know it took a lot for Matt to reach out to me but that just tells me he’s really in trouble. . He’s not a man to “need” help, let alone ask for it. If you could find it in your heart to donate even a dollar… one hundred people giving one dollar is still one hundred dollars. The one who’s always helping someone else now needs your help. No amount is too small and believe me when I say our gratitude is immense. ♥️ From the bottom of my heart, thank you
