Matt LaMoore

Hi, my name is Mark Pilkinton and I'm fundraising for Matt LaMoore.

Matt is a East Memphis resident and you know him from seeing him riding his bike and always wearing his bandanna.

He has been living under the 385 overpass that is between Ridgeway and Kirby for over 15 years. Prior to that he was living under the Mt. Moriah overpass close to Chuck Hutton Chevrolet. Unfortunately, Matt has been living on the streets of East Memphis for over 30 years. He will be 68 on 2/4/2024. The picture attached is his home and where he lays his head every night. He has a recliner and a couple of torn up stadium chairs that he uses as his den. I know Matt from 7th grade at Colonial Jr. High where he made every attempt to get through school. Unfortunately, that is as far as he got in school due to some medical reasons that are totally out of his control. My goal is to raise money to buy him a small gas generator so he can plug in an electric blanket, and a couple other small items. Winter is extremely difficult for him and he spends many nights just walking to stay warm. Many of you assisted me a couple of years ago collecting items for him at Christmas. Your kindness brought tears to his eyes at my house. He said that was the very best Christmas he had ever had. Will you continue to help me raise funds to help Matt stay warm this winter.
