To help the family of Matt McAtee's final expenses
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sue. I am fundraising for my nephew, Matt McAtee's family to help with final expenses.
Matt, 40 years young, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 9th.
He was not only an amazing son, brother, uncle and nephew, but an amazing person to everyone he met.
Below, I would like to quote Bryan Carroll and Steve Brooks. Their words couldn't be better said:
Bryan:
"It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I share with our Why We Ride family the passing of Matthew McAtee. There was no one who unselfishly gave more than Matt and was a bright shining light to everyone who met him. Matt truly loved to ride but always rode to help others. Matt rode on every Why We Ride Charity ride; he was the Nevada State Sponsor at Tour of Honor and never missed a local charity ride. Those fortunate enough to have met and rode with Matt have become better people because of his example. Matt’s favorite quote was, “There are 7 days in the week; someday is not one of them,” and he truly lived his life by it."
Steve,
"It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Matt McAtee, age 40, rider 23, and Tour of Honor state sponsor of Nevada, passed away last night from a massive heart attack. We extend our condolences and deepest sympathy to all of his friends and family.
Matt’s father Gale wants you to know that Matt is now riding free of his earthly bonds. He was also a member of America’s Ultimate Long Distance Riders, Monster Mile Riders, Why We Ride, and others. He had a big heart and will be missed by his Tour of Honor family, especially at our Ride to Meets. RIP Matt."
We miss you terribly Matt. May you rest in peace.
