Matt Myers

Matt Myers has been a Firefighter/Paramedic for nearly 25 years, 22(ish) of those years have been at Shawnee Twp Fire Department. Matt serves as the Fire Prevention Officer, as well as the Departmens Fire Investigator. Matt's wife Rebecca works as a school teacher at Shawnee. Matt has two children, Breonna and her husband Matt, and Josh. As many of you know, Matt Myers was taken to St Ritas last Monday. His condition worsened, and he was intubated late Tuesday night. He has been diagnosed with ARDS (Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome). Early this morning, the decision to move him to another hospital was made. He has been Life-Flighted to Cleveland. Matt and his family are not ones to ask for help, but they need it now. Any money raised will be used for food, lodging, gas and medical bills that will inevitably begin coming in. Matt is extremely active in his church, and throughout the community. Any help you can give is truly appreciated. We pray for Matt and his family, and hope you all have a joyful Christmas season.
