Matt Robinson's battle with Neurofibromatosis
Donation protected
Friends, we all know how extremely tough the next few months will be on Matt and his family. Please consider helping ease their financial burden. Matt & Jodi should be focused on his treatment, physical therapy, and recovery, rather than worrying about making his car payment, medical bills, etc.
This is what he is currently facing:
Surgery to remove the tumor at the base of Matt's spine will happen July 26. According to the surgeon, he's 75% certain Matt will lose feeling in his right leg, have permanent nerve damage, and need physical therapy to try and walk again after. Matt will not be able to work for quite some time. He could use help with continuing to pay his bills, especially his car payment, and other smaller monthly bills (not counting medical costs mentioned below).
Medical costs - Matt has insurance, but still has hospital bills, pharmacy costs, etc. Unfortunately, it's only July and they've already used 100% of the flex medical spending that they had contributed for the entire year, so anything from here will be additional out-of-pocket. Matt is followed by Oncology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology (his original cancer was kidney cancer), Pain & Palliative Care, etc., Between the 3 different sets of MRI's last week, upcoming neurosurgery, physical therapy, and any new medical equipment, it will be tough to cover what insurance doesn't.
Thanks for coming together to encourage them with your contributions and continued prayers.
