Rowing 6,000 Miles for Veterans – Support Matthew’s Mission

Support Matthew Hemmings’ 100-Day Rowing Expedition for Veterans

The Mission: A Row Across the Indian Ocean
Imagine spending 100 days at sea, rowing over 8500 Kilometres across the vast Indian Ocean. No engine, no sails, just raw human determination. That’s the challenge Matthew Hemmings, a veteran commando, adventurer, and mentor, is taking on. Starting in Australia with his 4 man team, and ending in Tanzania, Matthew’s expedition isn’t just a test of physical endurance and mental resilience—it’s a mission to raise funds for Fisher House, a charity dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.

Who Is Matthew Hemmings?
Matthew is no stranger to extreme challenges. A proud veteran and former commando, he has spent his life overcoming adversity, mentoring recruits, and embodying the values of courage, discipline, and service. Off the battlefield, he channels his passion for adventure into supporting charitable causes, inspiring others to push their limits, and creating a positive impact. Whether it’s through mentoring young soldiers or completing gruelling expeditions, Matthew’s life is a testament to resilience, leadership, and selflessness.

Why This Challenge Matters
This epic rowing expedition isn’t just about breaking records; it’s about giving back to those who have served. Fisher House provides vital care, accommodation, and support to the families of injured veterans. Every mile Matthew rows is a step closer to funding their incredible work, ensuring that our heroes and their families have the resources they need during their toughest battles.

The Challenge
Rowing across the Indian Ocean is one of the most dangerous and demanding feats in the world:

8,500 + Kilometres of Ocean: Battling relentless waves, unpredictable weather, and isolation.
100 Days of Rowing: Matthew will row swith his 4 man team for 2 hours on and 2 hours off, with no engine or sail to assist.
Mental and Physical Strain: Surviving on limited supplies and enduring extreme conditions.
But for Matthew, the sacrifice is worth it to support a cause so close to his heart.
