Matt to Mayo – We Can Help!
Many of you know Matt McArdle and his family, but you may not be aware of what they have been going through the past four years. Matt has been suffering from an undiagnosed illness where he is unable to keep food or liquid down. He has lost a substantial amount of weight that has caused an array of health concerns including his weight, nervous system and heart. After years of visiting specialist at a multitude of hospitals, his condition has yet to be diagnosed. The emotional and financial strain this has placed on Matt, Ashley and their children has been a difficult burden to bare.
A little over three months ago, Matt was placed on a waiting list to visit Mayo Clinic, an academic medical center that focuses on integrated clinical practice and research. His first visit went well, and the physicians have a few ideas, but they have not been able to define his illness or place a label on it yet. The research continues and this has given Matt and his family a glimmer of hope. With this hope does come additional expenses. Due to a considerable amount of accrued medical and travel debt, we are looking to help Matt and his family, by asking for donations to get “Matt to Mayo”. Your donations will help Matt and his family continue to seek the treatment and diagnosis needed to save his life.
