Matt & Victoria’s loss and IVF journey

Hi, we are the Moskal family. My name is Victoria and my husband Matt and I were married in May 2018 in New Mexico. In June 2018 we moved to New Jersey, bought our first home where we imagined to grow our family and give my bonus son Owen a sibling or 2. Little did we know then it was just the start of a heartbreaking and cruel journey for the next 5 years. In 2019 we had 2 back to back miscarriages and since our second loss have experienced unexplained secondary infertility. Unexplained infertility is when all tests and labs come back completely normal and there is no known cause of why we have not conceived. In 2020 we joined a fertility clinic in New Jersey where the storm cloud continued with 3 failed IUI’s, and further testing with again no answers. Hoping for a miracle to happen we waited and prayed until we moved to Illinois in June 2022. Still no baby to complete our family- we joined another fertility doctor and have decided to go the route of IVF. Through our tears and patience and prayers we are so close and supposed to start the process in June 2023! The doctor has such a positive outlook on this time next year we will finally be bringing baby Moskal home- BUT yet another storm has come our way. Our insurance will not cover anything IVF related including the actual procedure as well as medication. The total cost we are looking at is 35-40k to make our dreams a reality- 20k of that being the cost of medication! It takes a village to raise baby and we are asking you to be a part of our village.
