Matt Zamudio's Emergency Relief Fund

On February 12th, 2021, Matt was involved in an apartment fire and sustained severe injuries including third degree burns. Along with Matt, another survivor and his two cats were saved from the fire. Due the extent of his injuries, Matt is now facing upwards of 6 months of recovery, rehabilitation, and therapy. 

Matt is a beloved son, brother, and friend to many in our community and beyond. He is an inspirational young man who always spreads positivity to those around him. Even on his hardest days, Matt finds the bright side of situations and uplifts others. We are asking family, friends, and the community to donate anything you can to help. All monetary donations received will go towards Matt's hospital/rehabilitation expenses, veterinary expenses, and valuables lost. Any donation, regardless of the amount, is deeply appreciated.

Message from Emely Zamudio: On behalf of my brother, thank you to every single individual for all of the support and well wishes. The amount of love and support my mom and I have received thus far is overwhelming. The outpour of support from you all is a true testament to who my brother is, and will continue to be. Although we are in the beginning stages of his healing process, we are comforted by the knowledge of the amount of people rooting my brother on. 


El 12 de febrero de 2021, Matt estuvo involucrado en un incendio en un apartamento y sufrió lesiones graves, incluidas quemaduras de tercer grado. Junto con Matt, otro superviviente y sus dos gatos se salvaron del fuego. Debido a la extensión de sus lesiones, Matt ahora enfrenta más de 6 meses de recuperación, rehabilitación y terapia.

Matt es un hijo, hermano y amigo amado por muchos en nuestra comunidad y más allá. Es un joven inspirador que siempre transmite positividad a quienes lo rodean. Incluso en sus días más difíciles, Matt encuentra el lado positivo de las situaciones y anima a los demás. Pedimos a familiares, amigos y la comunidad que donen todo lo que puedan para ayudar. Todas las donaciones monetarias recibidas se destinarán a los gastos de hospitalización / rehabilitación de Matt, los gastos veterinarios y los objetos de valor perdidos.
