Mattapan House Fire: Sharon Needs Your Help.....

My name is Linda Mendez I am a Boston Police Officer, assigned to Area E-18. It is with a heavy heart that I share that on the early morning of December 26, 2023 at approximately two o'clock AM, my mother tragically suffered a house fire which resulted in a total loss on Woodale Ave in Mattapan, MA.

My mother was awakened by the smell of smoke and her kitchen engulfed in flames. Miraculously my mom was able to safely make it out of her unit. She selflessly assisted all three floors of the multi-family notifying the families of fire going in and out the building until everyone made it out, all while calling 911 for assistance.

She is currently employed by the Pine Street Inn as an Housing Stabilization Specialist, advocating and providing services to homeless families and individuals throughout the City of Boston. She is known for her supportive nature to family and friends, always showing up and this time she needs us. She is now in need of financial support during this difficult time. The funds donated will be used for temporary housing, relocation cost (1st, Last, Security), replacement of furniture, clothing and many other household/personal necessities.
