Let's Get Matt Bilz Back on His Feet

Matthew Bilz, known as Smiley to many, is an energetic and active husband, son, brother, father, friend, and coworker that could use our help right now.

On February 16, Matt was involved in a motorcycle accident in Atlanta. A driver hit Matt, throwing him from his bike and changing his life in an instant. While we are so thankful that he wasn’t more seriously injured, Matt suffered many injuries due to this accident including broken ribs, a broken wrist, broken femur, broken tibia, and a shattered ankle.

As with any accident, there are many expenses that insurance will not cover. Any funds raised will be used to build a wheelchair ramp, buy medical equipment, and pay for other ongoing rehabilitation expenses during this long recovery period.

Matt’s wife, Jess, immediately dropped everything to be his advocate in the hospital. She has been by his side every moment of visiting hours since the accident. Being a softball coach, she can’t exactly do her job virtually, so this money will also help to offset the income Jess is forfeiting while caring for Matt.

Living up to his nickname, Smiley is in good spirits and is ready for the fight that the next few months will bring. We can’t express how much we appreciate your generosity as we get Matt back on his feet and on to his next adventure!
