Financial assistance for Medical Care

The beginning of October 2023, we received news that no parent or sibling should ever receive about their child/brother. Our 17 year old Matthew was diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL).

Since then he has been treated at Joe DiMaggio Children's hospital where he is currently receiving multiple variations of chemo. He has been in and out of the hospital, and sometimes admitted for weeks at a time. Durning his treatment, Matthew contracted an infection from the port where the chemo was administered leading to the port being removed. The infection is still present and he is currently receiving multiple antibiotics. His body is finding it very hard to fight the infection and it is taking much longer for the chemo to do its job.

Matthew does have insurance through both of his parents, however some medications/treatments which are needed are not covered by either insurance. One medication alone which he currently needs is $14,000 up-front in order to fill it.

It is taking a lot from us as a family to put this "Go Fund Me" out to the public, but anyone who has had a friend, family member, or just heard about Leukemia or any form of cancer knows how much of a toll it can take on everyone involved. With that being said, anyone who knows Matthew knows that he is a happy, respectful, and loving child who is now fighting for his life. He has lots of faith along with us, his family, that he will smash through this hurdle and get back to being the happy and strong child he was just a few months ago.
