Just hours after leaving work on Thursday, Matthew was rushed to the Onamia emergency room. His oxygen levels were beyond the dangerous level as were his C02 levels. He was placed on a ventilator and rushed to the St. Cloud hospital and admitted to ICU. It was determined that he has severe pneumonia that has advanced into ARDS, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. He is in very critical condition. His numbers have improved somewhat but he continues to be in a medically induced coma and 100% reliant on the ventilator. Matthew has not been conscious since arriving here. He will be here for quite a long time and once he comes back to us he will be extremely weak and won’t be able to work for sometime. We are hoping to ease his fears on finances through help from treasured friends and family.
