Vehicle for Matthew Sites, to Feed Needy

Hi, I'm Judith Huck. I'm fundraising for Matthew Sites. Matthew cooks food for Long Beach WA and Astoria OR homeless people EVERY Tuesday. He's fed 35-40 people almost every week for the last 2+ years. His vehicle's engine has given out and he needs a vehicle to continue this work.

I support Matthew because he is trying hard to make a difference. It's a lot of work and when he began he paid for supplies out of his pocket. Now donors help buy food. Matthew works as a waiter at MyCovio's Restaurant in Ocean Park, WA.

His Ford Expedition's engine has given out after 300k+ miles.

Funds will be used to purchase a 1998 Ford Expedition that he's found for $3,200, that's in good shape. Let's help him buy it and get back on the road! Any extra funds received will be used to buy food supplies.

2+ years ago Matthew's daughter volunteered him to work in a kitchen in Portland. He realized he didn't need to drive the 4-hour commute to Portland as the North Coast had people in dire need of good healthy food right in his backyard. He started cooking for the needy in the North Coast area the next week and is still at it.

Matthew is a talented cook. He uses fresh ingredients to make tasty, healthy food. Matthew says "I figure if you're having a good day a really good meal makes it better. If you're having a bad day a really good meal helps make it bearable."
