To those of you who don’t know, I was recently diagnosed with a rare heart condition called Atrial Septal Defect or ASD for short. In layman’s terms, I have a hole in my heart, specifically in between my left and right atrium that causes oxygen rich and oxygen poor blood to mix that causes stress to my heart and lungs. After speaking with multiple cardiologists, we have decided to go through with surgery. Not doing so will leave me at greater risk to stroke, cardiac arrest, and overall shortening my life. Though my insurance does cover some of these expenses, our goal is to raise $6,000 to cover this procedure and lift some of the financial burden on my family and I as I will not be working while I recover. If any of our family or friends feel led to give, any amount and continued prayers will be greatly appreciated.
