Help Matthew Thuney's Family

Matthew Thuney – a true leader in the Mt. Baker foothills – passed away on October 30th. His wife, Donna, admits she is “not good at asking for help,” but agreed to let us try. Matthew’s income from officiating weddings, teaching and managing community projects has evaporated, and she now faces mounting medical bills, end-of-life expenses, and real worries about heating her house this Winter. (Her old, faulty pellet stove has to be replaced with a lower-maintenance propane stove.) Few people have worked as hard for the South Fork Valley and East Whatcom communities as Matthew Thuney. Donna supported him as he spent endless hours at meetings, teaching, managing the local radio station, or even planning their next holiday bash. Please help Donna in this time of need and profound loss.
