Hi, my name is Delaney Dayton, my Big Brother is Matthew Dayton/ Iverson, for as long as I can remember Matty was my hero, we didn’t get the greatest chance to bond as all siblings should while growing up but this last July when our mom was going on her 10th stroke, and was diagnosed with encephalopathy,I have never needed my big brother more …& boy did he show up. Over the last 6 months he has been my rock, my confidant& well, my best friend. See Matty had a way of lighting up a room, wether he was impersonating Jim Carey,(and fucking nailing it I might add) or being someone’s ear to listen he was simply captivating. I always said “he could make anyone drink the cool aid”

I’m not sure if the over all stress of the last 6 months is what drained him but he had suddenly become extremely ill, unable to hold down food or water, and being a type one diabetic, it wasn’t good. As time went on and more test were done, with no real answers and still battling our new way of life with our mom , my brother put his health issues to the side and attempted to power through, looking back I should of seen how mentally and physically drained he was... as a result on December 1st 2022 My brother passed away of plaque build up in his major arteries while In his sleep.

all Matthew talked about these past few weeks was the holidays, how grateful he was to be with his family. How special these few months were, not just for him but for his nieces and myself, my mom, we weren’t always one family unit so achieving this type of unity was huge.

So I’m asking for any sort of donation to help give my big brother one last Christmas with the people who loved him as much as he loved everyone. He deserves the best and to be honored appropriately.
