Help Matthew Byrne complete his new album

Dearest friends, fans, and fellow folkies everywhere -

Earlier this year I (finally) went into the studio to record my fourth album. It was a kind of dream-come-true project that was almost completely derailed by a Covid pandemic that coincided with becoming a dad, but I’m thrilled to say it finally happened. I went to Sheffield, UK and teamed up with the incredible Martin Simpson, who produced the album, and a whole whack of brilliant English traditional musicians: Nancy Kerr, Andy Cutting, Louis Campbell, Liz Hanks, Tom Wright, James Fagan, and Ben Nicholls. I am overjoyed with what we created during our time at Yellow Arch Studios in Sheffield and I’m bursting to finally send it out into the world, but there are still many expenses to tackle before that can happen: final mixing, mastering, CD pressing, vinyl pressing, marketing, and maybe even recovering some of the debt incurred so far. So I’m hoping this crowdfunding campaign will do just that!

There’s no clever assortment of rewards or perks involved here...I won’t come walk your dog if you buy a CD, or walk your cat if you buy a vinyl. All funds go toward the abovementioned expenses and any contribution is most sincerely appreciated.
