Matthew’s new life

I am starting this GFM for my son Matthew Palmer. Having been a type one diabetic since the age of 15 months, the complications of the disease caught up with him in the form of kidney failure, heart disease, and vision loss. Matthew became a candidate for a pancreas/kidney transplant and received the call for surgery on Monday, July 24th after 2 years of dialysis. Matthew has not been well enough to work for the past 2 years and this, combined with recovery time, is creating a financial burden for him. The weeks ahead will be difficult financially, physically, and emotionally. Asking for help is a difficult request to make but he is not asking, I am.
