Matthew's Heart Transplant

As many of you know, Matthew was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure. At 35 years young, this was completely unexpected. The doctors tried to treating the condition with medication but his heart is not improving. The only option available to him is a transplant.
UPDATE POSTED 4/4/17:
MATTHEW HAS A NEW HEART!
Around 4am this morning Matthew received a heart transplant. His family and loved ones are relieved and grateful for this miracle.
Unfortunately, during the procedure, Matthew's kidneys shut down. He will now be on dialysis until his kidneys (hopefully) begin working again on their own. Thus begins the long and arduous recovery process.
Matthew will require medication and regular medical oversight for the rest of his life. This journey is far from over, in fact, it has only just begun.
He and his family need our support now more than ever. Every cent is received with the utmost gratitude.

Como muchos de ustedes saben, a Matthew se le diagnosticó recientemente insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva. A los 35 años de edad, esto fue completamente inesperado. Los doctores intentaron tratar la condición con la medicación pero su corazón no está mejorando. La única opción disponible para él es un trasplante.

MATTHEW TIENE UN NUEVO CORAZÓN!
Alrededor de las 4 de la mañana, Matthew recibió un trasplante de corazón. Su familia y sus seres queridos están aliviados y agradecidos por este milagro.
Desafortunadamente, durante el procedimiento, los riñones de Matthew se cerraron. Ahora estará en diálisis hasta que sus riñones (con suerte) comiencen a trabajar de nuevo por sí mismos. Así comienza el largo y arduo proceso de recuperación.
Matthew necesitará medicación y supervisión médica regular durante el resto de su vida. Este viaje está lejos de haber terminado, de hecho, apenas ha comenzado.
Él y su familia necesitan nuestro apoyo ahora más que nunca. Cada centavo se recibe con la mayor gratitud.
