Mattie Marie’s Heart Journey

We are looking to raise funds to help assist mattie in her journey ahead.

Her Story

For the last two months my sweet niece Mattie has been battling a range of illnesses. She became sick with a cold in early January which eventually turned into RSV. Shortly after she was hospitalized. She spent her first birthday in the hospital while she was fighting trying to get better from RSV. She started to give good signs of being on the road to recovery. However, a week ago her temperature spiked again. She was then taken back to the ER and admitted into the hospital on February 18th. For the last week the doctors ran tests to try to figure out what was wrong. My sister kept fighting to get the answers.

She was then transferred to memorial care millers children’s out of Long Beach after finding how she has a severe heart condition. It is called Atrioventricular (AV) Canal (Incomplete). This is a Congenital heart defect that happens at conception. We praise God that we have these answers and we know the next steps, but the easy part is over and the hard part begins.

Mattie will have to undergo open heart surgery in Mid April. I am creating this GoFund me account for my Niece Mattie, her Mother Stephanie and her Father Matthew to help them out with medical bills, special expensive formula that Mattie requires, transportation cost to and from appointments and any other medical related expenses that may come their way in the next few months.
