A tad more help to put this behind me please...

Good morning/ afternoon/ evening,
I know it is pure Chutzpah on my part to run a second Go Fund Me campaign. I know you are tired of hearing about my leg, but that is what this is all about.

As you know, since the ladder accident in November of 2021, I spent a year in bed. Hospital, nursing homes, hospital, nursing home, and finally my own bed. Due to a series of complications, I endured 6 operations, and survived a pulmonary embolism.
Bottom line, for a two years I had no income, but rather, a growing pile of medical and everyday bills, not to mention, food.

Insurance covered at LEAST $120,000, probably more, but I am still owing $12,500.00, which I put on my credit cards; and the interest alone is killing me. 12,500 was my original goal, but that is a lot of cash to expect. So, I've reduced it to my immediate bills, which is 3,500. I thank all who have donated, you are an Angel!

In November of 2022, I began walking, with a cane, and by January 2023, was able to walk for short periods of time before I needed to lie down. This is still the case today. As it turns out, during the surgeries, my ankle fell apart, and in the healing process I developed Trauma Induced Arthritis. Furthermore, my legs are now slightly different lengths, which is knotting up the calf, and in turn, pulling the Achilles tendon, radiating ongoing pain through my foot. I am on blood thinners because of the embolism, and am on the anti-depressant, Remeron, so I cannot take over the counter pain relievers, and want to steer clear of narcotics. I’m back in physical therapy and taking mild muscle relaxers. But because of arthritis, walking down the stairs is difficult, my balance off, and I fall down often.

The point being, although I have been actively looking for work, daily, which my leg will allow me to do; it has been “no soap”. I have a few hooks in the water, but no bites. While I am booking the occasional day job and voiceover, it’s not covering my bills, and I’m sliding deeper into debt.
I’ve signed up with employment services, but so far, zilch.
There are jobs available, such as retail, warehouse, UPS, and so forth, but as I can’t stand for 8+ hours, I cannot perform them as I cannot rapidly lift and move heavy things. There are listings for jobs I’m simply not qualified for such as IT Supervisor, Construction Project Manager, Nurse, etc. And then there is the rare listing for something I am qualified for, and I’m either rejected, or it requires moving to someplace like Alabama. I am in the system for disability, but that takes months, and I hear the first try is always rejected, then the appeal can take another six months. I’ve even taken to selling some of my gear on E-Bay.

Last time I ran a Go Fund Me, I had some very generous donors, you did your part. I do not expect more from you, and thank you.

If there is anything I can do for a donor, produce a radio commercial, set-up a studio, dub old tapes digitally, I am happy to do so. Also, if you know of anyone who may be in a position to help, feel free to share this campaign on social media.
