Matt's Car Was Destroyed

On January 10th (Happy New Year) in Los Angeles I was sitting still at a red light. A man going over the speed limit hit my car, smashing it into the car in front of me. Luckily I was physically unharmed, but the car is a total loss and undriveable. No brakes, not paying attention at all, not a chance that I could avoid it. Within seconds my car was destroyed and I couldn't do anything about it.

Since then I've been dealing with his and my insurance and even though the three car accident is 100% his fault, it looks like we're still going to lose due to the limitations of his insurance. I've been paying for public transit and rideshare services to get around Los Angeles including to do my job and accruing more debt with no help.

I barely make enough to get by in LA and all of this on top of not having a car is financially destroying me to the point that it's seeming quite possible that I may have to move back home to New Jersey.

I don't like having to rely on things like this, but it's my only option at the moment so if you can help in any way including sharing this campaign I would appreciate it so much. 

Goals of this campaign:
-Help Matt get around with no car
-Get Matt a new (cheap, old) car
-Keep Matt from having to move back to New Jersey

With my current workload and financial hardships I can't offer any fancy rewards, but once I'm on the other side and if this campaign helps I'd like to do something special related to my podcasts or video series to celebrate. Or I'll move to New Jersey. Who knows.
