As many of you know I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma brain cancer in August of 2020. Because the tumor tends to grow back even with standard treatments GBM is considered incurable. I was told it's not a question of if but when the cancer will return. For me that was just over a year later in September of 2021. I was lucky to be a candidate for a second very successful surgery followed by a short series of Proton radiation to slow the growth. After completing radiation on 12/22, I am now starting the next phase of treatment and asking for your help.

After my 2nd brain surgery in October of this year, a sample of the new tumor was sent for further genetic testing. It was found that the profile of the cancer had changed to one more more likely to respond to immunotherapy. One of the more promising immunotherapy treatments is a personalized vaccine made to target the specific mutations of my cancer. This treatment is available in only a few clinical trials and unfortunately I am not eligible for any of these. However, with the help of my team I was happy to learn that I can access this cutting edge technology through a compassionate access program in partnership with the Jaime Leandro Foundation. 

The total cost to manufacture and administer the vaccine is $80,000. Many of you may have already generously donated to my initial diagnosis and treatment fund which has helped immeasurably in the time since my diagnosis. I am humbly asking for donations to mitigate the financial burden of this new treatment.
