Single father of 4 loses home to Lahaina Fire

Aloha, my name is Moana, and I am here to advocate for my children and their father, who have tragically lost everything they owned. Their home at 736 Paunau Street held countless memories, as it was the place where our family grew and flourished. From the moment our firstborn, Kaitelenn, came into this world, to the anticipation of her brother Robert Jr.'s arrival, the home was filled with love and joy.

However, when their home burned down to ashes, it also brought the world crashing down. They were left with nothing but the clothes on their backs, facing an uncertain future. The loss of their home and belongings has been devastating, and are in desperate need of assistance.

The family consists of five members: Robert Cockett Sr., a dedicated single father at the age of 57, my eldest daughter Kaitelenn Cockett, who recently turned 23 on July 11, 2023, Robert Cockett Jr., aged 19, Angelina Kaahumanu, aged 16, and our youngest son, aged 15. They have always taken pride in our Lahaina roots, and Robert Sr. has been faithfully employed at the Ritz-Carlton for the past 15 years, providing for the family. Kaitelenn has been a pillar of strength, working hard to support her father and younger siblings.

The loss of their home has not only taken away their physical shelter but has also robbed them of the memories and sense of security they had built over the years. They are now faced with the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch.
