Maureen Morgan Medical and Final Expenses

Hello, my name is Lorena, and this is my mother, Maureen.

Maureen is truly one of a kind; she is a colorful and wonderfully wild spirit and was a hard-working single mother to my twin sister and me. She just welcomed her first grandchild into the world only five weeks ago. She is well-loved by all who know her, and she is a vibrant, loving presence in this world.

My mom has been engaged in a turbulent battle with cirrhosis of the liver since 2017. During this time, she also battled uterine cancer. My mother has held in tough for a long time, as is her way. She has been hospitalized over the last few weeks, and her condition has worsened. My mother is now in end-stage liver failure, and her kidneys are also shutting down. Her medical team has confirmed that nothing more can be done for her, and she is being placed in hospice care. We do not know precisely how long she has, but we do know that we need to be prepared. She will not have very long once they stop treatment and move on to palliative care. We fear that we have less than a few weeks left with my mother.

I am putting up this fundraiser to help with my mother's medical and final expenses. She is a beautiful and vibrant soul, and my family and I wish to give her the proper send-off. We want to let my mother depart with grace and dignity.
