Maureen's Emergency Relief Fund
Donation protected
Hi,
I my name is Julie Sisk, I am starting this emergency fund to help my sister, Maureen Watson, get through a medically and financially difficult time.
On May 13th Maureen fell from her back steps, injuring her elbow and wrist. She was taken to the emergency room at one Hospital where they determined the surgery was too complicated for their doctors to perform. They then transported her to a well known Trauma Hospital in Seattle. They determined that her elbow was badly broken, the tendons were severed, and her wrist sustained fractures. On May 18th she underwent an 8 hour surgery to repair her entire arm.

Maureen's recovery is estimated at about 12 weeks, she is unable to use her arm at all, making it impossible for her to drive, work, cook, or clean. She is a wonderful full-time Nanny, which she loves doing, and the kids love her, but she does not have any disability insurance, nor any way to collect a salary while she is off work.
Maureen lives paycheck to paycheck and has only enough money in her account to choose between making a couple of mortgage payments, or paying her medical deductible. She has no idea how much she will owe in medical bills, so the funding needs may grow. Right now she has no money for utility bills, food, basically everything her paycheck covers monthly.

Maureen also has a large yard with no one to take care of it during this time, which easily gets over grown. She also needs to build some railings for her back and front porches so that no one takes a fall again. She fell off another time and a yard ornament stabbed her in the neck just missing her artery by a millimeter, so it is imperative that her steps be fixed! If anyone is experienced in this and would be willing to do the work for free it would be a huge blessing!
Please consider helping Maureen who is single, all of these expenses will add up quickly and we would hate to see her get behind in her mortgage while she recovers.
We would be so grateful for any donation big or small, and most importantly please keep her in your prayers.
God Bless!
