Maurice Drayton Citadel’s 1st Black Coach

The purpose of this go fundme page/link is to raise money for approximately 150 lowcountry student athletes to attend the Citadel's first home game. It is very important that the new Head Coach, Maurice Drayton, has the support of his entire community. He is a Lowcountry high school and Citadel graduate. He is also the first black head coach in The Citadel’s history as well as the first black head coach in the Southern Conference. We can only imagine the weight of this new role.

Therefore, it is our duty as part of his community, to be in the stands cheering him on at his first home game. We also believe we should do as he often says, "Lift as we climb". We would like to give an opportunity to lowcountry student athletes to attend this historic event. The experience to live history can impact the trajectory of a young person’s life!

The game ticket ranges from $25 to $32. We have until August 10th to reach our goal of $5000.00. Please give what you can so our youth can experience history in the making.
