Emergency & funeral expenses for Jhon Mauricio

Donation protected
Jhon Mauricio Ortiz, 38, a devoted and loving father, husband, son and dear friend to many, passed away at home overnight from a sudden illness. He is survived, by his two young daughters Gabriela (8) and Olivia (2), and his wife Tatiana Rodriguez.

Mauricio was a hard working 18-Wheeler truck driver. He worked long exhausting hours to provide for his family and make ends meet. He had been hit pretty hard by the economy in the recent months were he was struggling to find enough loads/trips to make, as well as the recent theft of his Semi-Truck.

His closest family (mother and sister) Elizabeth and Maria Clara, who he had not seen in 3 years, are currently residing in Europe, Spain with no visa/permit to travel to the USA. Their broken hearts aching at a distance with no possibility to say their last goodbyes

He was absolutely devoted to his two daughters Gabriela (8) and Olivia (2), who he could never say no to. It was normal for him to get home late after long trips and still find time to help with homework, basketball practice/games for Gabriela, caring for Olivia and helping around the house.

Unfortunately, as the economy took a toll on his finances, and in the struggle of living paycheck to paycheck we are worried for the well being and future of his two daughters and wife.

As the sole provider his loss is a devastating blow to his family.
Mauricio was the definition of the American Dream, his love for the USA was as true as any loving patriot. He left a mark anywhere he went with his charisma, humor and loving personality. He was a literal "Gentle Giant".

We really appreciate your donation and help in this difficult time.
