My uncle, Mau, loved the world. He loved Art, and crafted beautiful exhibits that celebrated many voices across the art world. He loved music and would dance endlessly to The Smiths and Depeche Mode. He loved sports and would celebrate whenever the Lakers scored. However, most of all, he loved people, their stories, and how those stories could move hearts and minds. After a hard-fought battle in the hospital, on September 2nd, the world lost a beautiful soul. A story that has impacted so many lives in such a beautiful way has come to a close. In his final moments, my uncle Mau smiled and accepted that his journey would lead him to paradise. Many of you have asked where and how they can support his family; I have created this Gofundme account to serve as a place for those who wish to participate and aid in the extensive funeral costs in celebrating my beautiful, wonderful uncle.
