In Memory of The Farms Employee, Mauro Guerrero

It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of our long time employee, Mauro Guerrero, on October 25th. Mauro has been a valued member of our team in golf maintenance at The Farms since July 20, 1998 and will be dearly missed.
Mauro was born in Querétaro, Mexico in 1970. He came to the United States in 1986 and worked as a farm laborer in Nevada for 12 years. He moved to San Diego in 1998 when he began working at The Farms. He married his wife Juana in 1995, and they have four children—all girls between the ages of 8 to 23. They have owned their own home in Escondido since 2013. He liked to play golf with his children, watch professional soccer, and take family vacations to Querétaro to visit relatives.
Mauro and his wife had a side business on the weekends. They would cook, prepare, and cater Mexican food for private parties from 100-500 people. In addition, he had a children's party jumper business where he supplied inflated jumpers for the parties.
Needless to say, we will all miss him more than words can express. He was not just our co-worker, but a great friend to all The Farms staff and many of our members.
We at The Farms Golf Club would like to help raise money for Mauro's family in this difficult time to support the cost of living, food, necessities, transportation, and education expenses. We thank you for taking the time to contribute and sharing your deepest sympathies to the Guerrero Family.
