Mau's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Friends & Family of Mau DiFulvio -
As most of you already know, late Saturday night, March 9th Mau was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident on the Route 7 connector in Norwalk. He suffered numerous injuries (bleeding on the brain, broken shoulder, ribs, spine, neck fracture and contusions on his lungs). Mau has been in the Norwalk Hospital’s ICU receiving round-the-clock treatment and getting the best care he desperately needs. His doctors have also discovered another medical issue unbeknownst to Mau, which he will need to handle once he heals.
We are reaching out to let you know that we have started this Go Fund Me page to raise money to help Mau and his family pay for his mounting medical bills because he has no medical insurance. Your donation will also assist Emily with the upkeep of expenses associated with paying a mortgage and raising a toddler while Mau will be out of work for the unforeseeable future.
We all love Mau for his kindness and generosity to others. His family is well known throughout the New Canaan community. Any one of us who has interacted with the DiFulvio family knows that they are kind and welcoming and would do anything for anyone.
Mau’s adorable 2.5 year-old son Wyatt and his sweet partner Emily are very appreciative of the outpouring of love and kindness they have received so far. His sister Lisa and brothers Nick, Lou and Ernie are overwhelmed with appreciation for your messages and phone calls offering support. Mom and Dad are praying for their son every minute of the day while dealing with their own medical issues all in hopes of keeping their son on the path to getting healthy again.
This guy has touched so many of our lives. He is a free spirit who holds nothing back and has a wild sense of humor. We all smile when we think of Mau, and we all have many stories filled with laughter because of him. We almost lost our friend and brother and most importantly Wyatt almost lost his dad! Thankfully heaven was not ready for him, and Wyatt will continue to grow up with Mau in his life. Mau’s medical journey will be a lengthy and expensive one so please consider helping his family by donating to Mau’s Go Fund Me page.
Much love and appreciation – Chrissy Kanuch and Karen Hussey
