Maverick needs emergency surgery to save his life

Hi! My name is Lauren, I'm a young professional living in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm fundraising in hopes to save my dogs life. I've had him his entire life, he came to me as a stray puppy who just needed a family.

Through the years, we've traveled, scaled mountainsides, and moved across the country together. He's been there for me through times I wasn't sure if I would make it through.

On Monday after an ultrasound, Maverick (more recently, loves the nickname name Rico) was found to have a small mass in his small intestine. After speaking with 7 different vets, a blood transfusion, and hours in clinics, all recommendations point to emergency surgery to remove the mass. The ultrasound found that it does not look to have spread (yay!) and the surgery recovery would be similar to a spay/neuter recovery time due to the location (2-3 weeks!).

The cost of surgery covers the mass removal, medication during surgery, anesthesia, ensuring there are no other masses, medication for aftercare, and testing the mass.

I've seen the reports and he is a healthy, happy, energetic boy aside from the mass that's causing complications. All organs are healthy and functioning, his body is actively trying to fight against complications, but they won't end unless we have this mass removed and ultimately will lead to him being put to rest without this surgery.

Please help my happy boy, he's never given up on me so I can't just give up on him. His mind and body are fighting so hard, he just needs a little help to get there.

His surgery cost is estimated to be $3500, so that is the main, #1 goal.

So far, his first appointment to test for diseases and bloodwork was $1200. His second appointment for the ultrasound, specialty visit, and radiology work was $1250. His third visit for an emergency blood transfusion was $2300.

Truly at this point we're looking at $8250+ for everything included, but I believe in him, and I believe this happy boy deserves a chance.
