Mavis medical and recovery

Hey my name is Mya maxey I’m starting this go fund me not only for my daughter but for our family as well. Mavis has a twin sister named Marceline and I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant with twin boys scheduled C-section set for may 1st. Mavis and her sister started out with a diagnosis of flu b and quickly turned into something different. I took them to the hospital so many time within a week period and they kept sending me home saying fluids and Tylenol it’s their first flu it’s gunna hit them harder than it hits us. 9 days of fevers and then not wanting to eat or drink I finally took them back in for the 3rd time and had to have Mavis transferred to Baptist medical. Where we were at for one night before they told me that she wouldn’t survive this.. we were immediately transferred again to ou childrens (2/25) where we been at since. My poor 20 month old little girl was admitted with acquired respiratory distress syndrome and 21 other health issues she was put on dialysis first ( for kidney failure) then after coding they put her on the ECHMO VA working for her heart and lungs. I’m planning to apply for disability for Mavis since my case worker highly recommended it. But with the father not working we asked his job for FMLA paperwork and they said we didn’t qualify and was terminated. they said they would rehire him when he’s ready to come back. We’ve used our tax return on our lease so we wouldn’t be homeless during this hard time. With the boys due May 1st we still need to get a car big enough for at the least 4 car seats and anything Mavis will need for her recovery. Our lease too our apartment  also ends in may and will be needing to look for a new place by then… I would like to ask the community to help us financially overcome any and all bills that come to us and to help support us and our newest members of our family in this long journey of healing and recovery. Tomorrow is never promised hold your babies tight and listen to your gut if you feel somethings wrong.

Update as of 3/24

 Mavis has made a lot of progress these passed couple day. Her vital numbers and gasses have been great there’s still no updates on her bacterial/fungal infections. She had a clamp trial for the ECHMO today and PASSED with flying colors. They’ll do another tomorrow.

They going to decannulate. (Taking her off the echmo!!)  update: surgery went well!!! She’s now off the ECHMO!!!!

They finally got to wash her hair. She lost quite abit brim all the blood and stress her body has been going thru. Found a good sized sore under all the matted hair. They are Slowly weening her off the ketamine. She’s going thru withdrawals from that they are also weening her off her of the versed and morphine Alternating between every 6 hours until completely off❤️ she’s breathing on her own with little help from the vent tube giving 40%. Hopefully fingers crossed we get her off the ventilator later this week. She pooping and peeing on her own❤️ but She still on dialysis doing 3 hour treatments every other day❤️. My baby is so strong.
