Mawgan Porth Surf Life Saving Club

To the good people of Mawgan Porth and surrounding areas.

We are the newly formed Mawgan Porth Surf Lifesaving Club. A club with aspirations of becoming a fully formed lifesaving provider and education facility, which is integral to the local community.

We aim to eventually offer training for adults, youth development for our youngsters, and a feeling of belonging for all.

We are made up of a small team of individuals with extensive surfing and lifesaving skills, with the overwhelming intent to give back to the community.

We have a number of short and long term goals and would welcome your assistance in any way you feel you can help.

Ultimately, we would like to offer all a first class club house but we are realistic and appreciate this will take time.

Consequently, we set our immediate aspirations a little more down to earth.

Please help us and donate:-

Short term funding : £10,000 - to purchase and site a container, clad and dress it inside and out, provide electric and water.

Medium term funding : £10,000 - for club and training equipment, (boards, vests, first aid etc).

Longer term funding : ££,£££ - We have a vision to have a beach club house, which will require significant funding and expertise. Any extra donations now will go towards this. What a clubhouse it could be offering a place for the community on the beach.

What We Plan to Offer

‍♂️ Lifesaving Training: Our club will provide comprehensive training in water rescue, CPR, and first aid. Our members will develop the expertise needed to respond swiftly in emergencies, ensuring that our beaches remain secure havens.

Sports and Recreation: From our plans of surf competitions to beach games, we're all about fostering a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition among our members. Join us for adrenaline-pumping action and fun in the sun (& rain)!

Youth Education: We genuinely believe in the power of education. Through proposed workshops, seminars, and school partnerships, we hope to instil water safety awareness in the minds of our youth, empowering them to be responsible beach enthusiasts.
