Max Jaffe - NYC Marathon
Friends,
I am very excited to announce and say that Sunday, Novemeber 5th I will be running the NYC Marathon. As a New Yorker, running the marathon in greatest city in the world has always been a goal/dream of mine to accomplish, and now it is time. Although I'd rather spend my Sunday on the couch watching my beloved Rangers win and Jets lose, I am going to be doing something great, and am running it for an even greater cause.
I am signed up to run with Team for Kids. Team For Kids is a charity run by New York Road Runners that gives back to the youth and gives kids less fortunate, the opportunity to stay active and have fun. I couldn't imagine the type of person I'd be today and the life I'd have without growing up with some sort of club/sports team to be part of after school. Sports gave me the opportunity to learn many life lessons, make great friends along the way and instilled a work ethic and drive that stays with me each and every everyday - if it wasn't for sports I can 100% say, I wouldn't wouldn't be where or who I am today. I am very proud to have the opportunity to help support the kids and give back to the community.
My goal is to raise $3K for this organization.
I am hoping to over achieve this fundraising goal. With that being said, any additional funds that go over this goal, I will persoanlly double, and donate to my friend Corys organization - LiveYourCor

The Live Your Cor Foundation was created in memory of Cory Hubbard. The goal of the foundation is to "pay it forward" by providing assistance to families who have suffered adversity or a personal hardship.
"Live Your Cor" is the mantra of the Live Your Cor Foundation. To "Live Your Cor" means to live your heart. It means to get the most out of everyday of your life. It also means to spread love and respect wherever you go. This is the way that Cory lived his life and would want everyone else to live theirs as well.
I will be "Living My Cor" Sunday and helping to support the kids on November 5th. I couldn't be happier to help make an impact for these two great organizations.
Thanks in advance for all the support, hope to see you all out there on Sunday - going to need your help cheering me on and celebrating at the finish line!
