Max Kaiser Jr. died on January 10, 2022 surrounded by his siblings. He was a loving Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend to many. Max’s passion for his faith, love for history and devotion to his family and country is forefront in everything he did. For those who don’t already know, Max had been battling health issues for years and lived in a health care facility for the last three years. Unfortunately, he contracted Covid before there was a vaccine and his health was never the same. Max fought hard. His body was ravaged by Cancer, Dialysis and other major problems. His family is asking for assistance to help provide a dignified funeral and burial for him as he has done for many indigent Veterans.

Max’s faith and service as a Chaplain in the United States Air Force drove him to raise funds for many homeless and indigent veterans. He helped over 70 Vets be buried with the dignity and respect that they should have after serving their country. He was passionate that every person, especially those that served our country, should have a dignified burial and memorial to be celebrated and remembered.

Max was a devout Catholic and former Seminarian that has served the Church with his gifts as an Acolyte, a skilled writer, historian, and preservationist. He devoted many years to St. Mary’s of Victories Church and The Old Cathedral where he developed wonderful friendships. He was extremely proud to be a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was also named a Pontifical Knight of the Holy Sepulchre. Max was very Ecumenical. He was a member of the National Conference of Christians and Jews.

Max had a long history of active community involvement in the Jaycees International, Toastmaster’s International, American Legion, Optimists International, the United Way, the Landmarks Association of St. Louis and Member of the Missouri Historical Society.

Max enjoyed spending time with his extended family and friends; often sharing advice, genealogy, and stories about growing up in South St. Louis County, Missouri as well as his time at Lindbergh High School and St. Louis University. He is loved by his family and many friends that have become his “family.”

We thank you for any assistance you can provide to give Max a dignified funeral and burial. May God Bless you!
